Mary Virginia “Ginny” Lipinski, 93, of Morgantown passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the Madison Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and under the care of Amediysis Hospice Care in Morgantown.
She was born December 5, 1922 in Monongah, a daughter of the late Orval Vernon and Bessie May Colvin Satterfield.
Ginny was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Chester “Luge” Lipinski.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue Ann Lipinski and husband Walter W. Shelton of Morgantown; her sister, Violet Irene Thompson of Worthington; brothers, Orval Vernon “Bud” Satterfield Jr. and wife Betty Ann of Monongah; and Steven Sanders “Buck” Satterfield and wife Rose of Cross Lanes; brother-in-law, Robert Kennedy of Vero Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews; as well as family pets, Kristina and Anya Merit Lipinski-Shelton.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ginny was preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor Louise Kennedy; and her brother, Donald Neal Satterfield.
Mrs. Lipinski was a longtime member of the Worthington Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, Bible School Teacher, Choir Member, and Treasurer. Ginny was an avid letter writer and enjoyed keeping her brothers and sisters up to date. She also enjoyed dining out with her family. She was a very devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, and aunt.
Friends will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike St. Shinnston on Friday, June 24th from 11-1 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm with Pastor Charles Chipps officiating. Entombment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum. Online memories and condolences can be shared at www.harmerfuneralhome.com.
