James Richard Lee, 90, of Swisher Hill passed away on November 30, 2017 at Rosewood Center in Grafton.
He was born on May 4, 1927 in Marion County to the late Marvin E. and Beulah Jane (Jackson) Lee.
James is survived by his children, Allen M. Lee and his wife Brenda L. of Swisher Hill; Randy M. Lee and his wife Brenda G. of Swisher Hill; Sheila DeAnn Moran and her husband Mark of Milpitas, CA; sisters, Eleanor Angelilli of Fairmont; and Helen Jean Sturm of Swisher Hill; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son, Richard V. Lee; brothers, Robert E. Lee; George W. Lee; and Jerry Lee; sisters, Loretta Malcom; Arlene Straight; Mary Barta; and Susan Inavinet.
James loved attending church and was a member of the Everson Baptist Church. He was a retired coal miner and worked at Williams and Loveridge Mines. James loved mowing grass and gardening. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Rosewood Center and to his home caregivers, Agnes and Mercedes, and special thanks to Tony Orsini for cutting his hair.
Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2-8 PM at Harmer Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Harmer Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Tennant officiating. Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Enterprise.
