Condolence: Members of the Barry Locke family: I am so sorry to hear of Barry's death. I have many happy memories of our times together at Rural Social Work Caucus meetings and the annual Institutes. He was so encouraging and positive. We also enjoyed Barbara's bright presence and recognized how much she contributed to Barry's life. Thank you, Barbara. I am missing you both. Naurine

Barbara -- I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so hard on this side of heaven. May the Lord bless and keep you! I'm so thankful for both of you!

Condolence: Barbara, I'm so sorry. Barry was so supportive of me as a newly arriving member of the Rural Social Work Caucus. His writings on rural social work policy as a relevant today as there were twenty years ago. He was a very good man and I will miss him.

Condolence: I am so very sorry to hear of Barry's passing. I first met him in grad school as he taught a couple classes of mine in the early 1990s. I still use some of his wisdom in policy analysis and looking for trends for "opportunity." His enthusiasm for the profession was infectious, his wit sly but with a one two punch, and his knowledge so generously shared. The profession has been blessed with so many of the contributions he has shared.
